The Brassin cockpit set for the Bf 109G will be released simultaneously with the ProfiPACK kit of the G-6 variant. Within the package, you will find several alternative parts for instrument panel, alternative gunsights, canopy head protection armor, two version of cannon breech housing, etc. The set consists of more than 20 resin parts (including clear resin head armor plate), regular and color photo-etch frets, and decals for the instruments. Assembly of the cockpit unit, and its plug-fit into the plastic fuselage, will run as smoothly as clockwork

Amongst the many questions we are are asked about the Bf 109G-6 ProfiPACK, one of the most frequent questions regards the selected marking schemes. This is the very first of our marking selections that we present to you. We're sure it won't come as any surprise to you either, because this particular scheme is the one used on our boxart. So... just for those who don’t know: Fw. Heinrich Bartels, 11./JG 27, MTO, November 1943.

The second plastic sprue that we want to show you, contains both halves of the fuselage, and some parts for the vertical tail unit (two variants). The inner fuselage (cockpit) will not be shown here, because that we still want to keep secret ☺. This example sprue was moulded during first test shot fittings, and so is still not perfect. However, you can still see how we approached the surface detail with this area…

New tool tests are always an adrenaline-filled experience. It would be a miracle for the tooling to work correctly on the very first trial, especially in the case of a kit as complex as the Bf 109G. Evidence of this can be seen in this gallery, related to two diferent tools.

Along with the ProfiPACK edition kit of Bf 109G-6 1/48 , we are also releasing several complementary Brassin sets. One of them is a set for field conversion R6 (in this case Bf 109G-6/R6), which includes the underwing cannon pods. Compoments for this field conversion are also part of the kit itself, but Brassin is simply Brassin, isnt it?
