Pokračuje francouzská ofenzíva na Sommě. Jednotky pěchoty obsazují Barleux ležící jižně od Chaulnes. Při útoku zajímají větší množství německých vojáků. Dalším útokem se zmocňují obce Chilly.

 

Vojska generála Brusilova zajímají při bojích v okolí Zlote Lipy za čtyři dny 19 000 zajatců.

 

Pokračuje též ruský útok v Trebizonské oblasti (Černomořské pobřeží) jižně od řeky Elen. Ruským pěšákům se daří zatlačovat turecké jednotky do defenzívy a zajmou během dne více než 500 tureckých vojáků.

 

Athény diplomatickými kanály naznačují možné přehodnocení proněmeckých postojů krále Konstantina a celkového řeckého postoje k válce. Součástí vstřícnějšího postoje je přijmutí diplomatických výtek vlád Británie a Francie dotýkajících se řeckého postoje vůči vojskům Dohody.
